Club Notes Week Ending 4th Aug. 2019


National Senior T&F C'Ships
The National Senior Championships took place in Morton Stadium, Santry on Sat/Sun 28th July and as always competition was red hot throughout. After his Recent Top 10 finish at the European U23 Championships. 
David Kenny finished 4th in the 10km Race Walk in a time of 45mins. This was one of the most competitive fields of the weekend with Irish Olympians Alex Wright and Brendan Boyce taking Gold and Silver on the day.

Munster Regional Endurance Performance Squad 2019/20
Athletes have been selected for this year’s Regional Endurance Performance Squads based on their results over the past 12 months. Congratulations to Shauna McCarthy who has been selected. The squads will aim to bring top young athletes from across each province together for opportunities to train collectively. It gives athletes a chance to get to know each other and can only help build a strong vibrant endurance community that athletes will want to be part of for years to come. The first squad activity takes place in September, with a weekend camp in Banna.

Club Training:
Autumn / Winter training will start early September in preparation for the Cross Country Season. You will be informed of the fixed dates soon.
