Boherbue to Kiskeam 4mile Road Race

The Annual Jack O'Keeffe 4 mile road race from Boherbue to Kiskeam took place on Easter Monday 1st April. It was cold and windy.
The race was organised by Gneeveguilla Athletics Club. The race was very well organised and results were available immediately after the race. As usual, the prizes were very generous.

Their was a total of 134 runners, this was well up from last year. It was a very competitive field with very fast times produced. The mens race was won by Mark Hanrahan (Leevale) with a new course record of 18:38.
Laura Crowe (An Riocht) was the first lady home with an impressive time of 21:41.

From Farranfore, Arthur Fitzgerald was 10th overall with a time of 21:25. George McCarthy finished in 13th place 21:55 and took 1st place in the O40 category. His wife Maria McCarthy was the 2nd lady home with a new PB of 23:14.
