We had 3 competitors in the All-Ireland Schools
championships in Tullamore with Niamh O’Shea finishing 3rd in the
junior girls discus. Aine O’Shea came 9th in the Senior Girls Discus
and Tomas Clifford was part of the St. Brendan’s Killarney Relay Team. The
Track and Filed season was in full swing with provincial championships held at
all levels. Them Munster Masters championships was held in Templemore with Jim
O’Shea winning 100, long Jump and High Jump and Arthur Fitzgerald 2nd
in the 800m. Fionn Hogan and Conor McCarthy were successful at the popular St. Brendan’s
Sports. The club had an excellent participation rate in the local Parkrun
events with Laura Bradley’s performance being particularly noteworthy. The
county juvenile sports took place in Castleisland on Wed 8th June,
where we were well represented on the podium.
We had an exceptionally successful Munster Juvenile Championships.

Jim O’Shea travelled to England for the British Masters
Championships and came away with Gold in the 100m and Long Jump and 2nd
in the High Jump.
David Kenny was our only competitor at the 150th National
Senior Championships in Dublin where he finished 2nd in the 10K walk
and the leading Irish competitor.
