Our walkers took centre stage this weekend. On Saturday David Kenny won the All-Ireland indoor intervarsity championships in Athlone covering the 2K distance in just over 7 ½ minutes. Not to be outdone his mentor Michael O Connor won the All-Ireland masters championships on the same track less than 24 hours clocking 18.26 for the 3K event. Well done to both.

Closer to home Tiernan Lynch came 4th in the Kerins-O’Rahillys 5 K road race in an extremely impressive 18.50.

Tomas Lynch, Liam and Matthew Smyth completed the Tralee Junior parkrun on Sunday all in very quick times.

Adult training continues next Thursday 3rd February at 7.00 pm in Farranfore GAA pitch. Beginners and walkers are especially welcome.
