Club Notes Week Ending 7th July. 2019

National Junior & U23 T&F Championships
Siofra & Rossa Foley competed in the National Junior & U23 Track & Field Championships held in Tullamore on Saturday 6th July. 

Rossa Foley, competing in the U23's, did well to come third in the Weight for Distance (WFD) with a personal best throw of 7.79m . He also competed in the Javelin where he finished fourth, Shot Put & Discus. 

Siofra Foley, competing in the Juniors did not medal but competed in the Javelin, Discus & Shot Putt.

National Juvenile T&F Championships Day 1

Eabha McCarthy competed in the National Juvenile's on Sunday 7th July. Competing at this level for the very first time in the U14 75m Hurdles. Things did not go her way in the heats so did not make the final qualifications. She enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot.

Gneeveguilla Mile Series.
The second race of Gneeveguilla AC Mile series. Held in Kilcummin on the evening of Wednesday 3rd July. Well done to David Costello, George McCarthy, Brendan Lynch (and family), Jerome Foley & Shauna McCarthy for participating. Next race is in Knocknagree on Wednesday 10th July at 7:30pm
