David Kenny was part of the Irish Senior Mens team who competed in the European Race Walk Championships in Lithuania over the weekend. David represented the country very well finishing in 31st place with a new personal best time of 1hr 26mins over the 20Km distance. The Irish team was 8th overall. A great achievement and we are all proud.
Munster Schools T&F C'Ship
The Munster Schools T&F C'Ships were held in CIT on Sat. 18th May. Well done to our athletes who competed, representing their schools in what was some very competitive competitions..
Aine O'Shea continues to excel as she won the Junior Discus with a great throw of 31.05m.
Cian Spillane competed in the Junior 1500m race where he ran very strong to finish in 2nd place with a personal best time of 4:26.95.
Shauna McCarthy ran very well in the Intermediate 3000m, finishing in 4th place in a personal best time of 10:52.80.
Siofra Foley was 5th in the Intermediate Discus with a throw of 24.13m.
Doireann O'Shea was fifth in the Junior Javelin with a throw of 22.93m.
Best of luck to Aine & Cian who advance to the Nationals.

Round 1 of the National League was held on Sunday 19th May in Templemore.

Maria McCarthy was part of the Kerry Women's team where she ran the 1500m. Finish in 4th in a time of 5:05.
Rossa Foley, James Nagle & Dermot Dineen were part of the Men's Kerry Team.
Primary School Sports
Thanks to all our volunteers who helped out last Wednesday Evening as we held our annual District Primary School Sports. Thanks to Keel GAA for giving us the use of their facilities. Their was great representation from all schools and everyone enjoyed the various events. Schools will be notified in the coming weeks with the children who have qualified for the County Primary Schools which will be held in An Riocht Track, Castleisland on Wednesday evening 12th June.
