County Juvenile Track & Field C'Ships
We had two very exciting days of Juvenile Track & Field Championships (U9 to U16) held over the last two weeks. Attendance numbers were well up from last year and we would like to thank the County Board and all the volunteers who helped out in the competitions. Weather was ideal on both days so we thank all those juveniles and parents who represented our club admirably. Overall results are still not available so we will publish in next weeks notes. Again well done to everyone as we were fourth club in points score overall. This is a great achievement and it is down to your continued commitment to attending training and our coaches who volunteers their time every week.

County Junior / Senior & Master T&F Results
The Junior / Senior & Master T&F took place on Monday 6th May. There was a good turnout from our club with our presence shown on track & Field events. In Masters events Bernie O'Mahony was 1st in 100m, 200m, 400m; Jim O'Shea was 1st in 100m, Long Jump & High Jump; Helen English was 3rd in the 3000m, 1st in High Jump; Maria McCarthy was 1st in 3000m & 800m; John Coleman 1st in Shot.
Senior Results: Brendan Lynch was 4th in 3000m: Dermot Dineen was 2nd in 800m; John Coleman was 3rd in Hammer,; Sean O'Shea was 4th in Hammer, 2nd in Discus, 3rd in Shot; Rossa Foley was 1st in Triple Jump & Javelin, 3rd in WFD, 4th in Shot; James Nagle was 1st in WFD, 2nd in Shot. Junior Results: Siofra Foley 3rd in Javelin, 3rd in Shot & WFDm, 4th in Discus
South & North Munster Schools T&F C'Ship
The South & North Munster Schools T&F C'Ship took place last week in various venues.
Well done to Shauna McCarthy who was 2nd in the Intermediate 3000m (11:07).
Cian Spillane took podium in the Junior 1500m (4:36.38).
Siofra Foley was 3rd in the Javelin.
Doireann O'Shea was second in the Minor Javelin (23.77m).
Aine O'Shea was second in the Junior Shot (8.94m) & 1st in Discus (27.47m).
We wish them all well as they compete for their schools in the Munster Finals on May 18th in CIT.
Club Training:
- Tuesdays @ Farranfore GAA Grounds, €2, Juveniles U9 to U16 Outdoors 6 to 7pm (All events).
- Thursday @ An Riocht Track, Castleisland, €3 Club Member €5 other. Juveniles U11-U16 & Senior 7:45 to 9:15pm (All events). NOTE: Must be Athletic Ireland Registered to attend.
- We welcome new members to come along to training and try it out. If you are happy you can register after two sessions. See our website for full details.
