The Irish Life Health National Senior Indoor Track & Field Championships were held in National Indoor Arena, Dublin over the week-end.
David Kenny was back in action when competing in the Senior Men 5K Race Walk. David had a great race finishing in 3rd place winning a National Bronze medal. He did so with yet another personal best performance, completing the distance in 20:41.92. The winner was Alex Wright (Leevale AC) finishing in a CBS time of 18:53.87. A great achievement by David.

The Munster Schools Cross Country Championships were held in WIT, Waterford on Friday 15th Feb. A course known to all cross country runners as an extremely difficult course due to the short sharp incline and long hill climbing.

Conall O'Mahony (ISK) was first up competing in the Junior Boys 3,500m 3 lap race. Conall ran well finishing in 19th place overall out of over 70 athletes.
Shauna McCarthy (KCC) competed in the Intermediate Girls 3000m 2 lap race. Shauna had a great start and was part of the top 15 lead group as they headed for the long 400m climb. On the down hill she was in ninght place heading into the second and final lap. Again strong on the uphill she was placed 7th and held onto this position crossing the finish line. No individual medal for Shauna, but she did enough to qualify for the National Schools final to be held in Kildare on March 9th. Well done to all the other Kerry athletes who did very well.

Jessie Lynch (Lispole) won the 3rd/4th Class Girls 1000m, winning by a good margin.
In the 3rd/4th Class Boys both Tairnan Lynch running (Lispole) and Isaac Vickers (Firies) ran away from chasing pack and in an exciting finish Isaac won from Tairnan by mere centimeters.
Finally in the 5th/6th Class Girls Mairead Walsh (Farranfore) ran a very measured race settling in 8th and coming home really strongly to win an excellent bronze medal for 3rd place. A great result all round for the kids, and their schools.
The Optimal Fitness 10Mile & 5K was held in Tralee on Sat. 16th Feb.

- Juvenile Indoors on Tuesday in the Sports Hall Farranfore from 6pm to 6:45pm. Open to all registered juveniles aged 8yrs (Born 2011) to 12yrs (Born 2006). €2 per session.
- Secondary School / Senior training on Thursday's at 6:30pm in GAA grounds Farranfore. This is endurance build training. €2 club member, €4 non club member .
- Maria's Strength, Endurance & Flexibility Exercise Classes on Tuesday at 7pm in the Sports Hall in Farranfore. €5 per class
