Isaac & Ryan Vickers, along with Cian Spillane were in Cork on April 24th for the Leevale Juvenile Meet.
Ryan Vickers in his 1st ever track meet ran in the U9 60m and was 3rd in his heat and was an excellent 6th in the final.
Isaac Vickers competed in the U10 60m, after a good showing in the heat and semi final he was a very close 3rd in the final. He backed that up only 25 minutes later in the 300m final and placed 3rd against very strong opposition.
Finally Cian Spillane ran in the U15 800m, after starting very wide he made great headway to be in the first 3 for the first lap. On the last lap he stayed with the leader and ran a very strong 2nd.
The County Senior, Masters & Junior Track & Field Championships will be held on Sunday May 6th in An Riocht Track, Castleisland. List of Events here:kerryathletics.com/junsenmastt.pdf
The County Juvenile Track & Field Championships will be held on May 12th & 13th. We kindly ask all parents to let the club know if your kids are participating and in what events. Juvenile training on Tuesday 6pm to 6:45pm at Farranfore GAA Grounds. This will be in preparation for the County Track & Field scheduled for 12th & 13th May. This is for children born 2010 (7/8yrs) to 2004 (14yrs). €2 per session. New comers always welcome.
Secondary School & Senior training on every Thursday will be at An Riocht Track, Castleisland from 7:45pm to 8:45pm. This is endurance / distance training & Field events. €2 club member, €4 non club member.
