Munster Novice, Senior & Master 4 Mile Road Race C'ships 2016

The Munster Novice, Senior & Master 4 Mile Road Race Championships were held on Sunday 3rd April in Kilnaboy, Co. Clare. Weather conditions were ideal, calm and sunny. Thanks to Clare Athletics and all the volunteers for organising the event.

First up was the ladies race with 55 competing. Caitriona Barry did the club proud when she finished 9th overall and placed first in her age category in a time of 25:19. Caitriona was also part of the Kerry senior team to take gold and bronze in the Novice County team. Shona Heaslip (An Riocht) won the senior title. Very well done.

In the masters men, George McCarthy was competing and ran a very strong race, coming in 24th overall out of 91 competitors in a time of 22:25. George was 4th in his age category.
