The first of five of this years JOIN SPAR and RAY for 5k was held in Killarney on Monday 25th March. What a beautiful day today it was in Killarney with over 750 people turning up on the beautiful town of Killarney. I knew most of the people involved in the race from Farranfore Maine Valley AC, registration went smoothly, plenty of marshals and the weather has been booked perfectly for the race.
SPAR crew, Today FM and Athletics Ireland teamed up again with the local club Farranfore Maine Valley to provide a fantastic event. Great people, superb atmosphere and great weather.
Participants received a great quality Technical T-shirt and the usual goody bag after finishing the event. The race organisers and volunteers ensured everything ran like a well oiled machined.A special thanks has to go out to Michael O'Connor who put the whole thing together.
