The Kerry Athletics Indoor Development Sports Hall Games was held in Milltown on Saturday 23rd of March. The turnout was very good from all clubs. The event was well organised and we wish to thank Nagle Rice Community Center for all their support. Turnout from our own club was particularly low, and we thank those who turned out.
Well done to Ross Lally who won the U12 sprint. It was very competitive with two heats to get to the finals.
Also well done to James O'Sullivan who made it to the U9 sprint final and just missed out on a medal by the smallest of margins. Also who competed in most events and enjoyed the day was Evan Spillane, Ciara Glendennen, Katie Bell, Clodagh & Sarah Heasmann. Apologies if I missed out on anyone. World Masters Indoor T&F Championships - Bronze for Jim O'Shea
The World Masters Indoor T&F Championships kicked off on Saturday 23rd March. Three of our club athletes are competing over various events.
The World Masters Indoor T&F Championships kicked off on Saturday 23rd March. Three of our club athletes are competing over various events.
They are Jerome Foley in the 200m, 400m & 800m;
Sean O'Shea in the Shot &
Jim O'Shea in the Long Jump and High Jump. On Day 1 of competitions Jim O'Shea has won Bronze in the M74 High Jump with a jump of 1m 25cm. Jerome Foley has qualified for the semi finals in the 400m. We wish them all the best and will have a full report next week.

Tuesdays @ Farranfore GAA Grounds, €2, Juveniles U9 / U10 Outdoors 6 to 7pm (All events). Juveniles U11-U16 Outdoors 6 to 7:30pm (Sprints & Mid. Distance).
Thursday @ An Riocht Track, Castleisland from April 4th, €3 Club Member €5 other. Juveniles U11-U16 & Senior 7:45 to 9:15pm (All events). NOTE: Must be Athletic Ireland Registered to attend.
