Annual District Primary School Sports - May 30th 2018

Farranfore Maine Valley AC will host the Annual District Primary Sports for the local schools.

Wednesday 30th May in Listry GAA Grounds starting at 6:00pm.

All primary school children within the Farranfore district are eligible to compete.


Programme of Events
(Separate races for boys and girls)
1st Class: 60m, 100m
2nd Class: 60m, 100m, 4x100 relay
3rd Class: 80m, 200m, Turbo Javelin
4th Class: 100m, 200m, 4x100 relay
5th Class: 100m, 600m, Long Jump
6th Class: 100m, 600m, Shot, 4x100 relay

Children in 1st, 3rd and 5th class may move up a class to compete in each 4th, 5th and 6th class 4x100 relays respectively.
2nd class may move up to 3rd class Turbo Javelin.
4th class may move up to 5th class Long Jump.
Shot is confined to 6th class children only.
Children can enter all events in their category mentioned above. Medals for the first 3 finishers of each event.

We will also have fun races for boys and girls in Junior and Senior Infants (40m run)

Children who get placed in these events will go forward to represent the district in the County Primary School Sports Day planned for Wednesday Evening of June 13th in An Riocht Track, Castleisland
