National League Track & Field Championships Round 2

Round two of the National League Track & Field Championships took place on Sunday 17th July in Cork. The Kerry Ladies team were in action in Division 1.The team which is made up of athletes from numerous clubs earned a total of 112 points adding to their 116 from the first round. This puts them in a great position going into finals which will be held in August. we had four from our club representing Kerry. 

Emma Prendiville in the 1500m Race Walk was 1st in a time of 5:51.21. 

Niamh de Hora in the 1500m distance finished 2nd in a time of 4:51.62. 

Leanne Cronin in the Discus finished in 2nd place with a throw of 25.36m and 

Elaina Norris in the Shot Putt finished in 4th place with a throw of 6.75m. 

We wish the Kerry ladies Team all the best in the finals on August 7th.
