Annerville 10k road race, Clonmel - Sun 11th May 2014

It might not be a race that we would normally mention on our blog, but we have reason to do so this year.
The Annerville 10Km is organised by Tipperary club, Clonmel AC. This is a very popular race and it attraced over 350 athletes.
Clonmel is the home town of Maria McCarthy, while on a week-end break home to visit family and friends she took the oportunity to compete is this local race.
Here is an extract from Clonmel AC report on the race:

"Maria McCarthy (Farranfore Maine Valley) took up the early pace and ran very well to win a great race in her home town when finishing strongly in 37 mins 16 secs, great performance. Then we had Angela McCann (Clonmel) also running very well when 2nd in 37 mins 33 secs with Dymphna Ryan (Dundrum) 3rd in 38 mins 15 secs."
Well done Maria
