Dingle Women’s Mini Marathon 2013

The inaugural Dingle Women’s Mini Marathon was held on Saturday, May 18th 2013.

The mini marathon is intended to cater for women of all levels of fitness with walkers, joggers and runners being encouraged to take part.
The event is a ‘not for profit’ basis and the two main beneficiaries are The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) and Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne in Dingle for the development of a playing pitch/running track.
The 10K race attracted a large crowd of up to 600 participants. The course was not one of the easiest with the first 4Km being a long up hill with the wind to the women's faces. But this did not deter their high spirits.
The event was very well organised with great atmosphere at the post race party.
