Kenmare AC hosted the County Kerry Intermediate and Juvenile Uneven Age Cross Country on Sunday 14th October. Venue was at Lovett's Farm on the Bonane Road, about 2 miles from Kenmare.
It was a lovely dry and sunny day for this years events.
Well done to all Farranfore Maine valley AC athletes who turned out for the days races. All age categories did very well on the day with up to 5 team medals and many individual position medals.
Full results will follow once released.
In the womens Intermediate, Caitriona Barry took silver
In the womens masters, Maria McCarthy finished well clear of the field to take the O35 gold.
In the mens Intermediate is was a repeat of last weeks Novice where our own George Mccarthy was battling it out with An Riochts Darren burke for first place. From the start it was a tight race with both runners taking front position. Again it was down to the final sprint finish where the young legs of Darren Burke held out to just finish in front of George. It was again a very exciting race to watch.
Well done to Ger Ladden who ran a great race to take to O45 category.
