This year's Cork Half-Marathon was held in Blarney on Sunday 9th September. Organised by Cork Club St. Finbarr's, it was a great success with a record crowd of 541 runners taking part.In terms of the weather, it was a mixed bag. Pre-race, it looked as if it was going wet and misty. Ten minutes later, we were sweltering in the sunshine. Overall though, things could have been a lot worse and though there was a bit of a headwind on the way back, the course was slightly downhill at that stage.
