Milltown Mini Marathon 26th Aug. 2012

The second year of Milltown Annual Mini Marathon was held on Sunday 26th August. The day was perfect for running. 117 runners participated. This was well up from last year when they had 86 competing.
The race was very well organised with ample water stations and stewards throughout the whole race. Refreshments afterwards were very good with the atmosphere proper irish banter. A credit to the organisers.

Their were new course records in both the men and women category. Donal O'Callaghan (An Riocht) crossed the line first with an impressive time of 32:55 and our very own Maria McCarthy regained her throne when finishing in sixth place overall and winning the ladies category in a time of 37:37.
