Munster Senior, Masters T & F Championships 2012 - Results

The Munster Senior and Masters Track & Field Championships were held last Sunday 17th June in Templemore. It turned out to be a lovely sunny day, so the atmosphere was good. Final results can be found in the Munster athletics web page: HERE



Well done to our club athletes who travelled to compete in the events.
Senior Athletes:
Maria McCarthy: Gold in 5000m run (18:38:25)
Daniel Clifford: Silver in Shot (12.93m) and Gold in Discus (45.72m)
Arthur Fitzgerald: 5th in 5000m run (16:53:74)

Masters Athletes:
George McCarthy O40:  Silver in 3000m run (9:56:52) and Gold in 1500m run (4:42:95) a new Munster best time.
Jim O'Shea O70: Well done to Jim who took home an impressive 4 golds in the following events:
100m (33:20);  200m (33:20); High Jump (1.30m) and  Long Jump (3.94m)
He achieved a Munster CBP in the 100m, 200m and High Jump. Very impressive.
Ed Mulcahy O75: Well done to Ed who also won all his events, taking gold in:
Shot (7.14m); Discus (18:48m) and Hammer (22:54m)
