With European championships and Olympics making for a busy season of track and field, Cork City Sports committee has decided to hold this year’s 61st Cork City Sports on Tuesday 17th July. The decision means that the Sports reverts to it’s original mid-week setting, and that is sure to be popular amongst athletes and spectators alike. The Sports will again be staged at the Cork IT Athletics Stadium.
There will be a Junior Mens Mile race with a provisional start time of 8.30pm. Any athlete wishing to enter this race must e-mail RDO Steven Macklin steven@athleticsireland.ie the following details ASAP

The race is open to all born 1993-1996 with priority given to those running sub 4.15 for 1500m. This junior race always fills up fast and there will be limited places available, so get entries in early. Full details are available at http://www.corkcitysports.ie/
