Munster Intermediate and Unevenage Cross country

On Sunday 13th November the Munster Intermediate and Uneven age Cross country races were held in Powerstown Racecourse, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
The weather conditions were excellent for the races. It was dry and mild with a bit of wind to help in the up hills. The surface was in very good condition compared to the Munster Novice and county seniors last week. So from the onset it was clear that the races will be fast and furious.
The club was represented in both the Juvenile and intermediate races.
JUVENILES:
Yet again the Juveniles were very impressive for both the club and county.
In the U9 girls we had Natasha Myers racing. She came in 6th position out of a field of over 100 runners receiving a Munster medal.

In the U9 boys we had Thomas Clifford and Michael Brosnan racing. Again their was a field of over 100 runners. Thomas finished in 4th position and Michael took the 11th spot. Both deservedly getting a Munster medal.
Aaron Flynn ran a good race in the U11's

David Kenny came in 25th place in the U13 boys. This was a highly contested race with very good runners. Approximately 135 runners. So, well done David.

In the U19's Jack O'Sullivan finished in 15th place.

INTERMEDIATES:
Yet again Maria McCarthy has surprised everyone by taking silver in the Intermediate Women's race. Originally from Clonmel, this win made it all the more sweeter. She was the only Kerry lady on the day so the saying "quality is better than quantity" rang true on the day.
Arthur Fitzgerald ran a great race in the Intermediate men's to finish in 10th place.
