Club Training Autumn / Winter Season 2018

Club Training starts up again for the Autumn / Winter Season. The main focus for this training will be in preparation for the Athletics Cross Country Competitions.

In order to participate in training it is mandatory that all juveniles are registered with the club. This is for insurance purposes. No exceptions. Here is link to application form for new members which you can bring along to training. Membership Form 2018

Juvenile Training:

Starting on Sunday 2nd September we will have cross country / trail run training. This is for all children who will be competing in the County Cross County Juvenile Competitions. Ages 8 upwards.

The training will take place in Killaclohane Wood (Mass Rock). The entrance is located just off the R561 on the Castlemaine to Firies road.

This is a public place so please park responsibly as parking places is very limited.

Training starts at 11am and will last for approx. 45mins. €2 per session Please wear appropriate footwear  for gravel and uneven surface trails.

On Thursday from September 6th there will be juvenile training in Farranfore GAA Grounds. This is outdoors on grass so appropriate footwear and clothing for all weather conditions is advisable.
Training starts at 6pm and will last for approx. 45mins. €2 per session.

Secondary School & Senior Training

On Thursday from September 6th in GAA Grounds Farranfore .
Starting at 6:30pm with warm-up and core session commences at 6:45pm sharp.
This is outdoors on grass so appropriate footwear and clothing for all weather conditions is advisable. Non Club members also welcome to join this group. €2 club members / €4 non club members


Maria's Strength, Endurance & Flexibility Classes

Our popular Indoor Cardiorespiratory, Strength, Endurance & Flexibility Exercise session will commence on Tuesday September 26th @ 7pm at the Sports Hall in Farranfore.
The class, lasting for one hour. This is held indoors and is an effective method of exercising that can be enjoyed by a variety of people. The programme is designed to improve all the components of fitness that constitute physical fitness of an individual.
€5 per session, payable on the night.
