Our Annual 5K Road Race FUN Run is not that far away. We will keep the traditional route of starting at the Kerry Mill in Farranfore, running close to the cross-roads in Firies and returning via the same route. So it will be in keeping with the traditional OUT AND BACK course. You can enjoy the day without having to worry about any traffic concerns as the road will be closed to traffic for the duration of the race.
Registration on the day will take place in the Community Hall, Farranfore from 10:45am.

The Course.... 5KM DISTANCE
It starts just at the entrance to the Kerry Group Mill on the Farranfore to Firies road. This is just 400 meters from the registration point and parking area at the Community Hall. The first 400 meters is up hill, once at the top it is down hill and then levels off for at least 1.6KM. Up hill as you approach Firies Village, you will then turn on the road where it will be clearly marked. From here on you are returning on the same road you started from.
The road will be closed off to all traffic for the duration of the race.
Their will be plenty of stewards along the route with water stations also available.
