National League Final 2015

On Sunday 2nd August the National League Final was held in Tullamore where the Kerry Athletics Women’s team was in action. The whole team did exceptionally well  over all there events and they finished in a very impressive third place overall (89 points) in Division 1. Considering they were unsuccessful in qualifying to the finals in 2014 this year has been a major success for athletics in Kerry. Every club in the county came together and they should all be proud of there athletes.

Emma Prendiville & Maria McCarthy played a very important role in securing valuable points for the Kerry team. Emma won the race walk  (7:06.1) and Maria won her 1500m race (4:52.28). Well done to you both and to the rest of the Kerry panel, their coaches and organisers.

An Riocht AC also competed in Division 1, they finished in 4th place. Michael O'Connor guested for An Riocht and competed in the race walk.
