GloHealth National T&F League Round 2-Results

Womens 4x400m Relay team

On Sunday 19th July saw round 2 of the GloHealth National T&F League in Athlone with the Kerry Athletics Men and Women’s teams in action on Division 1.

The Kerry Women's team have now qualified for the National league T&F final following some impressive performances with a combined total of 206 points out of the 2 rounds. 

From our club, Maria McCarthy played a very important role in securing valuable points when she won the 1500m (4:53.19), 4th in the 800m (2:26.49) and was part of the 4x400m relay team. 

Daniel Clifford was the stand out performer for the men’s team – winning the discus (42.06m) and coming second in the shot (11.29m). Rossa Foley equally did well when he achieved a pb in the triple jump (11.42m) & third in the javelin (32.70m). All athletes performed very well against very strong opposition. 

The National Final will be held on Sunday next, 2nd August in Tullamore. The very best of luck to the Kerry ladies team and organisers.
