Thanks to William Dennehy for the use of his premises and to all the race organisers who did a great job.
A special thanks to all our volunteers who helped out in the coaching / training over the last 3 months. People working hard in the background were chairman Jerome Crowley & Secretary Mary Kennedy. Maria McCarthy has done a great job in structuring the juvenile training program with coach assistance from Cassandra & Eileen Myers. Also a big thanks to Harry & Pauline Joseph for their help.
The first race of the day was the Senior & Junior Ladies. They had a 5k distance which was 4 laps of the course. Their was a strong field of athletes competing from all clubs.

First home for our club was Maria McCarthy who finished in 3rd place. Caitriona Barry did very well to come in 5th place. With some very fine running from Siobhan O'Keeffe, Danielle Corkery & Pauline Joseph, they picked up the silver team medal. Very well done girls a great performance.

We had great representation for the Juvenile Relays. We would like to thank everyone who turned out to help make up the teams. Like the senior race their was a very high standard from all clubs with up to 8 - 10 teams in each age category.
U9 Girls finished 3rd: Eabha O'Callaghan, Doireann O'Shea, Aoife O'Sullivan & Eabha McCarthy
U9 Boys finished 2nd: Kian Costello, Diarmuid Kirwan, Micheal Fitzgerald & Sean Fenton
U11 Girls team A finished joint 3rd: Alice Casey, Shauna McCarthy, Corrina Griffin & Ellen Kelliher
U11 Girls team B finished 6th: Emma Casey, Laura O'Driscoll, Louise Kennedy & Katie O'Sullivan

U11 Boys finished 3rd: Cormac Costello, Malachy Kirwan, Conall O'Mahony & Cian Spillane

U13 Girls finished 5th: Rebecca Kenny, Siofra Foley, Martha Fitzgerald & Natasha Myers
U13 Boys finished 4th: Brian Burke, Josh Campbell, Anthony Kelliher & Thomas Clifford
We had no club athletes competing in the Senior Mens 10K race.
The Senior top 3 finishers were:

In the Junior Mens race 6k, Conor Kissane ran very well and finished in 4th place. David Kenny also ran very well and finished strong.
Conor O'Mahony of Tralee Harriers was the clear winner here.
Note: Training will continue for another 2 weeks, the usual times.
On November 30th is the Munster Masters & Juvenile 'B' C'ships in Watergrasshill, Cork
On December 14th in Killarney we will have the County Juvenile Even Age Relay selection for the Munster Relays to be held on Jan 11th in WIT Waterford.
