We had a small number of juveniles who traveled to Tipperary in the early hours of the morning.
First to run was Ellen Kelliher in the U10 1,000m race. Ellen finished in 53rd place and was the first Kerry girl to cross the line.
Cormac Costello finished in 73rd place out of a very strong field of 143 runners.
Natasha Myers competed in the U12 2,000m race. She was in the top 20 with 500m to go, but finished in 33rd place overall Also to compete in the U12 was Rebecca Kenny she was 91st.
Anthony Kelliher U12 2,000m finished in 67th place. This was Anthony's first time competing at munster level and he was out of age so this will stand to him in the future.
David Kenny competed in the U16 4,000m race. He finished in 35th place.
In the Womens Novice Race (4,000m) we had Caitriona Barry competing for the county. Caitriona ran a very solid race to finish in 8th place and helping to secure silver for the Kerry Women's Team.
Shona Heaslip (An Riocht) won the Novice title with Grace Lynch (Iveragh) taking 2nd place in the U23. Niamh Clifford (Star Of The Laune) was 4th Kerry lady, followed by Sharon Cahill (An Riocht).
This is a strong Kerry Team, so looking forward to the Munster Intermediates in a few weeks.
