The Munster T&F took place at the Cork IT track on Sunday 15th June 2014. The weather conditions were somewhat warm with temperatures reaching the mid 20oC. The club picked up a total of 13 medals in this years championships. Well done to all who took part in what is always a most enjoyable day out.
In the Senior Events we had three club members participating.
Maria McCarthy was 1st in the 5000m race in a time of 18:02.17.
In the Masters Events we had three competing for our club.
Daniel Clifford was in action on the field events.
1st in Discuss 43.49m & 1st in Shot 13.03m
Kayleigh Cronin also did very well in the field events
2nd in Discus Throw 42.69m; 1st High Jump 1.53m

Eddie Mulcahy (M80) was back in action after a short rest bite. 1st Hammer 21.72m; 2nd Shot 6.55m;
Jim O'Shea (M70) continued his good form; 1st in High Jump 1.30m; 1st Long Jump 3.84m; 1st 200m 34.00; 1st 100m 12.88
Aidan McCarthy (M35) in his first time competing in the Munster T&F did very well.
3rd in Shot Putt 8.38m; 2nd High Jump 1.45m
