WEEKEND RACE RESULTS

We had a number of club athletes competing in a variety of events throughout the country over the week-end.

Clonakilty Back2Back Marathons
The highlight was when Jason Kerins competed in the Back2Back marathon run held in Clonakilty, Co. Cork. This was Jason's first attempt at a marathon distance. But to make it even more challenging he had to repeat all over again the following day.
Jason ran his first marathon on Saturday in a time of 4hrs 12mins. After a well deserved rest he took on the same course Sunday where he completed it in a time of 4hrs 30mins. Congratulations Jason you are an inspiration to us all.

Senior National Indoors 2013 (5K walk)

Niall Prendiville competed with the best walkers in the country at the National indoors held in Nenagh over the week-end. The 5K walk was won by Rob Heffernan in a time of 19:13:03. Niall finished in 9th place with a time of 22:48:17

Kilmachthomas 5mile Road Race, Waterford 
This is part of a series of races held by West Waterford AC. Maria McCarthy was in the area over the week-end so took part. Maria was the third lady home with a PB time of 29:29.
